Basler Plans Manufacturing Operation in Texas

October 06, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Basler Electric Co. (Highland, IL) announced the planned opening of a manufacturing operation in its Taylor, TX, plant, located 35 miles outside of Austin. The new operation will produce a variety of power systems products and will be Basler’s seventh manufacturing facility. The company currently has two locations in Arkansas, two in Mexico and one in Wasselonne, France.

Basler’s power systems products serve a wide range of applications for industrial, commercial and electrical utilities. The opening of the manufacturing operation will increase and enhance Basler’s manufacturing capabilities as well as shorten lead times for its power systems products. The dual manufacturing locations create an increase in capacity and a disaster contingency for all Basler Electric power systems products. The location in Texas will also benefit customers in the Southern US and Mexico by reducing shipping time.
