Tectrol Releases 1800W Front End for PoE & VoIP Applications with Power Density of 25W/in3

Tectrol has introduced the TFE-1800 Series of 1800W Hot-Swap Power Modules with secondary isolation for PoE and VoIP applications in a 25/Win3 High Density package measuring only 11 x 4 x 1.6".

The TFE-1800 front end power supply delivers 1800W of 48V power with 3.3VSB @ 1A in a high-density hot-swap/redundant package. Up to 4 units can be paralleled, in a mating 1U-high 19" rack mount enclosure, providing up to 7.2kW of output power. The supply features Universal ac input with Active Power Factor Correction; typical efficiency of 90%; Digital I2C Interface; analog status and control functions; fan-speed control; and secondary isolation for Power-Over-Ethernet and VoIP applications. All units are RoHS 6/6 Compliant and safety qualified for cTUVus EN60950-1 and bear the CE Mark (LVD) with reliability >700Khrs (Telcordia SR332 ; 40°C; Full Load). The supply is designed to fit a wide range of standard applications, including networking equipment, telecommunications and industrial/test, and can be modified or configured for deployment in "Customer Specific" applications.

Evaluation quantities are on-hand with production deliveries of stock to 16 weeks. Modules are priced at $400 in OEM quantities.
