ReGen Tech Ltd. (Aberdeen, Scotland), developers of zero-emission power systems, have begun to test how ready the UK portable generator market is for fuel cell generator systems to replace diesel systems. The company reports it will begin introduction and field trials of its SiGen-5 5kVA prototype system, which uses alkaline technology (the SiGen 5 will use PEM) at several of the high-profile Highland Games, particularly those at Lonach, Ballatar and Braemar, throughout the summer of 2002.
