IXYS Corp. (Santa Clara, CA) announced that it has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Advanced Power Technology Inc. (Bend, OR). The complaint alleges infringement of two of IXYS' key patents, Patent 5,486,715 and Patent 5,801,419, both of which are entitled "High-Frequency MOS Device."
The patent infringement complaint was filed in the US District Court, Northern District of California, and seeks injunctive relief and damages. Among other things, the patents claim and disclose important aspects of the structure and fabrication of high-performance, power semiconductor MOSFETs.
