Intersil Commits $200,000 to Hurricane Katrina Relief Efforts

Intersil Corp. (Milpitas, CA) has committed $200,000 to relief efforts for victims of the Hurricane Katrina disaster in New Orleans and the Gulf Coast. The funds represent a combination of a $150,000 corporate gift and an Intersil dollar-for-dollar match of employee gifts up to $50,000. Intersil is partnering with the United Way and the American Red Cross in the effort. The $150,000 corporate gift will be given to the United Way in partnership with the American Red Cross.

"Intersil is proud to make a positive impact on the thousands of people who have suffered so greatly as a result of this disaster, and is encouraging employee involvement in the relief effort as well."
