C&D Technologies Inc. (Tucson, AZ) announced the opening of the company's new battery research and testing laboratory, located at its Leola, PA, manufacturing facility. The two goals driving the creation of the new laboratory facility were to establish a state-of-the-art battery testing facility and to provide a more pleasant and efficient environment for both customers and employees.
The new facility is capable of temperature ranges from -20°F to +160°F (-29°C to +71°C) or higher, humidity conditions that can be regulated from 0% to 100%, discharge capability of 25A to 8,000A, and automated testing of up to 48V systems.
