Rayovac Develops New 3V Lithium Battery

July 14, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Rayovac Corp. (Madison, WI) developed a new lithium battery that has three times the pulse-rate capability of normal lithium batteries, can operate in both extreme cold and intense heat applications, and is environmentally safe. The new battery is suitable for tire pressure monitoring systems, as well as RF devices and wireless applications.

The new Rayovac lithium battery can operate at extended temperature ranges as low as -40 degrees C or up to 100 degrees C. It also retains its power in storage for 10 years. The battery comes in four coin cell sizes and offers application versatility in Bluetooth wireless, portable telecommunications, and computing and networking applications.
