Buck Converter Efficiency
Hello, The duty cycle does not tell all about the efficiency. The losses in the parts are not taken into account. The switching element (most times a mosfet) has a resistance. Also the used inductor will introduce losses. Bertus

Transistor BC547 blowing out
Hello, @Niu_X_Tang , The used transistor is not a mosfet. The BC547 is a BJT, wich needs a base current to act as a switch. @simon mugo , Can you post a schematic, so we can see if the base current is enough to switch. Also, what current are you switching. The BC547 collector current is limited...

Hello, 1kW is a lot of power. At 12 Volts it would mean a current of 83.33 Amp. At the input of 2.7 Volts it would mean a current of about 400 Amp. What would be in input source? How long would the 1 kW be mentained? Bertus
