Adam Light is Senior Director, VPP and DERMS Practice Lead at TRC, a global professional services firm providing integrated strategy, consulting, engineering, and applied technologies supporting the energy transition. In this role, he is responsible for end-to-end delivery of IT/OT services to TRC’s electric utility clients. Before joining TRC, he worked at Portland General Electric, where he led the effort to define PGE's VPP operating model and provided technology solutions to enable the company's VPP program. Light has spent his career building and delivering IT systems. He was Director of Planning and Program Management at TransUnion before founding and operating SoTech, an agile transformation consulting practice that served clients including Starbucks, PGE, Cirium, Vertafore, and NWEA. He earned a B.A. from Dartmouth College, an M.A. in Earth Systems Science from the University of Colorado, and a Ph.D. in Climate Science at the University of Oregon.
