Yardney Spins Off the Lithion Division

Ener-Tek International, the holding company for Yardney Technical Products Inc. (Pawcatuck, CT) and Lithion Inc. (Pawcatuck, CT), has officially separated the two subsidiaries. The move will enhance each subsidiary's ability to have a more focused approach in their marketing and development efforts.

The Yardney division will be operated by Alex Karpinski. In his new role as General Manager of Yardney and Vice President to Ener-Tek, he will be responsible for all day-to-day operations. Karpinski has been with Yardney for 22 years and has held several positions within the company during his tenure. Karpinski commented, "This is an exciting time for Yardney and we look forward to not only sustaining the current operation but continuing our growth and seeking new markets for the silver-zinc technology."

The Lithion division will be operated by Vince Yevoli. In his new role as General Manager and Vice President to Ener-Tek, he will also be responsible for all day-to-day operations of the company. Yevoli has been at Yardney for more than eight years. Yevoli commented, "We are committed to making our company the supplier of choice for large prismatic rechargeable lithium technology. The team of individuals that we have put together is second to no other company and they are all excited about the future of Lithion."
