Uniross Rechargeable Batteries Launches in North America

October 17, 2005 by Jeff Shepard

Uniross Batteries SA (Lognes, France), a developer of rechargeable batteries and chargers for portable electronic applications, announced that it is expanding its presence into the North American market. Uniross is now offering its full line of consumer rechargeable batteries, chargers, and accessories to the North America market through alliances with retail and commercial partners. Consumer products currently available in the Uniross line include high capacity rechargeable batteries, including AA, AAA, C, D, and 9 V; a full line of chargers ranging from basic overnight chargers, to chargers that can be used at home or in your car, to compact travel chargers to ultra-high-speed chargers; and accessories such as international travel plug adapters, battery storage cases, battery testers, and converters that allow you to transform AA batteries into C and D sizes. In addition, Uniross has established alliances with OEM partners to develop and provide custom power sources for their products.

Uniross is inviting consumers to try its rechargeable products in high-drain devices such as digital cameras, walkmans, toys, etc., instead of disposables for 30 days. If at the end of that 30-day period they are not satisfied that Uniross rechargeables provide a better solution to their power needs, the company will refund their money -- no questions asked.

"Uniross rechargeable batteries are more convenient, last longer, and are much more cost-effective than alkaline batteries, making them ideal for high-drain devices such as digital cameras, electronic games, and MP3 players," said Uniross President and CEO Craig Taylor. "Rechargeable batteries provide the long life and cost savings that consumers are looking for. We have 35 years experience in the rechargeable category and provide a money-back guarantee on our products."
