Power Distribution Inc. (Richmond, VA) announced the release of a split-core version of it’s patented Branch Circuit Monitoring System technology (BCMS) to the market. The split core version of the PDI BCMS can now be retrofitted to existing equipment in the field during a scheduled service window.
The BCMS technology enables the individual current monitoring of branch circuit breakers, typically installed in electrical panelboards. Many power quality users are using this technology to monitor individual loads for billing use, or to alarm overloaded circuits.
