Lineage Power and SynQor Settle Patent Suit

August 17, 2011 by Jeff Shepard

Lineage Power Corp. and SynQor announced that they have entered a definitive settlement of the Lineage Power v. SynQor patent lawsuit, which was pending in the Eastern District of Texas. The lawsuit was originally filed in 2008 when Lineage Power alleged SynQor infringed on six of its patents. SynQor had filed counterclaims alleging infringement of three of its patents.

Terms of the settlement were confidential, but the parties stated that they have agreed to mutual releases and requested a dismissal with prejudice of all claims asserted against each other in the lawsuit. The case has consequently been dismissed with prejudice.

The settlement of this case does not affect the separate patent infringement lawsuit, SynQor v. Artesyn, which relates to Intermediate Bus Architecture and unregulated and semi-regulated bus converters, which was brought by SynQor against Lineage and other competitors.
