Ceres Power to Provide Fuel Cells for British Gas

August 14, 2005 by Jeff Shepard

Ceres Power Ltd. (Bristol, UK), a developer of fuel cell products for the distributed power generation market, announced that it has signed a commercial development deal with British Gas to provide "green" domestic boilers that will be capable of providing household electricity as well as heat for hot water and central heating. The new boilers, powered by Ceres' fuel cells, have the potential to reduce household energy bills and cut carbon-dioxide emissions.

Ceres Power CEO Peter Bance said, "Our ultimate goal is to enable people to have a highly efficient, extremely safe, and environmentally friendly miniature power station in their homes, saving them money on their energy bills and enhancing Britain's energy security."
