Dr.-Ing. Andreas Lindemann holds a doctoral degree in electrical engineering. He was with power semiconductor industry for ten years. Since 2004, he has been a Professor of power electronics with Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg, Magdeburg, Germany. His current research interests include the usage of novel power semiconductor devices in circuits and systems for various modern applications, such as power electronics to feed electrical energy gained from renewable sources to the grid, also considering special aspects, such as electromagnetic compatibility and reliability.,Dr. Lindemann is volunteering in the IEEE Power Electronics Society and Verband der Elektrotechnik, Elektronik und Informationstechnik-Energietechnische Gesellschaft and the chairman or a committee member of several international power electronics conferences.
