May 08, 2019 by Bourns

Bourns, Inc. introduced two new TVS diode surge protection series designed to meet the component miniaturization required in today's highly integrated and high power density designs.

Bourns, Inc., a leading manufacturer and supplier of electronic components, recently introduced two new TVS diode surge protection series designed to meet the component miniaturization required in today's highly integrated and high power density designs. Bourns® Model SMF4L and Model SMF4L-Q Series are offered in a compact, low profile surface mount SOD-123FL package with a height of just 1.125 mm, which is 50 percent smaller than Bourns' previous generation SMAJ Series TVS diodes.

Bourns optimized these high-reliability ESD and voltage transient protection devices for data line, DC power supply and a wide variety of telecom, computer, industrial and consumer electronics applications. Both product series feature standoff voltages of 12 to 58 volts and a peak pulse power dissipation of 400 watts at 10/1000 μs. In addition, Model SMF4L-Q is AEC-Q101 compliant making it well-suited for equipment used in certain more challenging environments.

Bourns® Model SMF4L and SMF4L-Q TVS diodes are available now, and are RoHS compliant*. For more detailed product information, visit the product page
