The 32nd International Symposium on Power Semiconductor Devices and ICs (ISPSD) will be held in Vienna, Austria, May 17–21, 2020. It is the premier forum for technical discussion in all areas of power semiconductor devices, power integrated circuits, hybrid technologies, and applications. With an attendance of about 500 experts, it is firmly established as the must-attend conference for the power semiconductor industry reflecting the growing importance of power electronics and power semiconductors for a sustainable world. It is technically co-sponsored by IEEE and its societies EDS, PELS, and IAS, as well as by ECPE and IEEJ.

The ISPSD captures all areas of power semiconductor devices and power integrated circuits (low and high voltage power devices & circuits, all semiconductor materials including Si, SiC, GaN, and Ga2O3, as well as power semiconductor packaging). The conference offers an attractive short course program on Sunday covering important topics like modeling of package parasitics for fast switching devices, system-level optimization of power converters, bipolar and super junction device concepts for SiC, GaN integrated circuit design, processes and devices with materials beyond SiC & GaN (like AlN, Ga2O3), and last but not least silicon high power devices (IGBTs and Fast Recovery Diodes).
The main conference will take place Monday through Thursday starting with plenary talks on trends and challenges for the power semiconductor industry followed by lectures and poster sessions. The conference is organized in non-paralleled sessions allowing the attendees to listen to all fields of power semiconductor devices enabling new views also beyond their own field of research.
ISPSD 2020 will be held in Hofburg, the former imperial palace, in the historical city center of Vienna. Vienna is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is also described as Europe's cultural capital. The metropolis with its unique charm, vibrancy, and flair, historical treasures, music, and arts will give this conference a unique atmosphere.
International Symposium on Power Semiconductor Devices and ICs (ISPSD) brings together the world’s foremost experts and leading companies on power devices and integrated circuit technology. Since the first meeting held in Tokyo in 1988, ISPSD has become the premier international forum for technical discussions in all aspects of power semiconductor devices and integrated circuits. The conference location is rotating each year among Japan, North America, Europe, and other regions. 2020 the conference will return to Europe, namely into one of it’s cultural centers, Vienna.
