LpS 2019 Proudly Announces Its Speaker LineUp and Event Program

The LpS 2019, which will take place in the city of Bregenz, Austria, is proud to reveal this year’s speaker line-up and event program.

The LpS 2019 (LED professional Symposium + Expo) is proud to reveal this year’s speaker line-up and event program, for what is set to be another outstanding year for the conference.

Joining over 1700 delegates and 100 exhibitors in Bregenz this year will be global experts from industry and research, across multiple lighting applications such as human-centric lighting, transportation, agricultural, healthcare and many more. These chosen specialists will be sharing their future visions, innovative technologies, trend insights and research findings in over 100 carefully selected lectures.

“Over the last nine years we have seen exceptional people inspire and inform the audience at LpS, and 2019 will be yet another triumphant year. We are bringing together the very best minds from the light industry and research for what I believe will be three unmissable days that will explore and develop the light technologies of tomorrow,” Siegfried Luger, Event Director.

Certain of Uncertainty

Exploring the topic that will resonate throughout the 2019 event will be the Keynote session from Dietmar Zembrot, of Trilux, who during these uncertain times in lighting discusses “The Changes in Lighting”, a subject that is also being explored across the multiple tracks of lectures, and in the exhibition hall. Also tackling this subject is a dedicated panel discussion on Future Luminary Design.

Delegates will also hear from Dr. Hani Kanann of Cea Leti, France on “The New Generation of Lighting”, Makoto Ogawara of Nachia, on "LED Spectrum Optimization for the Improvement of Human Performances”, and Fabian Gerschwiler of Regent, sharing his thoughts on "The Transformation From A Luminaire Manufacturer to a Smart Building Enabler". Additional sessions will also cover Standards Driving Business, Potentials of Digital Disruption, Human and User-Centric Lighting, Trends in Light Sources, Controls and IoT, Optics, Quality and Testing, Quality Engineering and Light in Applications.

Hands-On Workshops

Experience-led learning is celebrated as the delegates can get hands-on in several in-depth and varied workshops throughout the event. This year LpS welcomes multiple industry experts including: Visual Perception Workshop from Bartenbach, Light Sources for Human Centric Lighting Workshop from Nichia, Evolution of Lighting Design Processes from Zumtobel, Next Generation Light Guides and OLED from EPIC, Bluetooth Mesh Commissioning Workshop from Silvair.

Award Winners

The awards they are returning this year, bigger and more exciting than before. We have increased the awards categories for our exhibitors so we can all celebrate the complete spectrum of light. The three LpS Awards are given for cutting edge technologies with the strongest impact on lighting, applications, and sustainability.

LpS is the leading international lighting technologies event for design, testing, and production of lighting systems, controls, and equipment, showcasing state of the art lighting designs and products. The conference has a long heritage and a trusted reputation for being the event that brings together the very best light technologies experts from around the world. LpS 2019 is supported by Lifud, Nichia, Seoul Semiconductor, and Tridonic and is co-located with the 3rd Trends in Lighting Event and the 1st DALI Summit 2019 from the Digital Illumination Interface Alliance (DiiA).
