Teledyne LeCroy today introduces the HDO4000A, HDO6000A, HDO8000A, and MDA800A analog and mixed-signal oscilloscopes. These four high-definition oscilloscope product lines range from 200 MHz – 1 GHz bandwidth and utilize 12-bit HD4096 technology. This technology arrived in 2012 and remains unique in the market place. Today’s announcement takes these ground-breaking products to new levels of measurement capability. HDO-A oscilloscopes feature Enhanced Sample Rate technology that automatically ensures optimal display of acquired waveforms to the instruments’ full rated bandwidth. Additionally, the next-generation MAUI® with OneTouch user interface makes measurement setup insanely easy and provides users dramatically faster time to insight when debugging complex signal abnormalities. Lastly, the updated PC systems with faster processors, more CPU memory, and solid-state drives add even more value. HDO4000A, HDO6000A, HDO8000A, and MDA800A Provide Application Excellence
All HDOs are ideal for debugging and troubleshooting power electronics, automotive electronics, and embedded/mechatronic designs with high-resolution sensor signals. They are the favored oscilloscopes in automotive, digital power management, power integrity, physics, and military/aero applications. The eight channels provided by the HDO8000A series are ideal for high power and/or three-phase power conversion testing and digital power management validation. MDA800A Motor Drive Analyzers, which are built on the HDO8000A platform, also perform three-phase electrical and mechanical power calculations with unique static and dynamic power views as well as complete control system validation.
HDOs owe their high performance to bandwidths up to 1 GHz, acquisition memory of up to 250 Mpt/ch, and 12-bit vertical resolution. There are also mixed-signal oscilloscope (MSO) options/models. All HDOs offer an extensive array of serial trigger, decode, measure/graph, and eye diagram (TDME) options. HD4096 High Definition Technology
HD4096 High Definition Technology finds its roots in high-sample-rate 12-bit ADCs, high signal-to-noise ratio amplifiers, and low-noise system architecture. This technology enables HDO-A oscilloscopes to capture and display signals of up to 1 GHz at 16 times more resolution than other oscilloscopes. In the HDO-A oscilloscopes, HD4096 technology is augmented by Enhanced Sample Rate technology, which automatically ensures optimal display of acquired waveforms to the instruments’ full rated bandwidth.
MAUI with OneTouch Gesture Control
All HDO-A oscilloscopes feature MAUI with OneTouch, which extends Teledyne LeCroy’s long tradition of user- interface innovation. Teledyne LeCroy offers a broad variety of optional software packages to equip HDO-A oscilloscopes for all serial data test requirements ranging from automated standards compliance packages to flexible debugging toolkits. A suite of protocol-specific measurement and eye diagram packages provides unparalleled insight into serial data anomalies. These unique packages complement the industry’s most powerful trigger/decode software providing the ability to extract decoded data and plot over time, perform bus timing measurements, and create eye diagrams for testing against standard or custom masks. The 16 digital lines in mixed-signal models can be used for trigger, decode, and measurements for analyzing timing irregularities or for general-purpose debug of digital designs. This allows analog channels to be reserved for observing physical layer defects.
