Voltage Inductor - Current Lagging

Why would my current be lagging in my voltage inductor? I guess, why would the current lag in any sort of inductive circuit?

When an emf is generated by a change in magnetic flux, the polarity of the induced emf is such that it produces a current whose magnetic field opposes the change which produces it.

So, the “generated” voltage appears and then “opposes” the current flow thus causing the current to lag the voltage.

You should check the magnetic field surrounding the wires. That's where your biggest issues could very well be coming from.

For DC circuits, when a voltage source is connected to an inductor, a current will flow through it.

That will generate a magnetic field that increases in strength from zero to its maximum value.

As this magnetic field is being created emf will flow into the inductor coil.

^^ Known as self-inductance. I suggest CJ2 learn these basics first before diving head first. Lots of ground to cover.
